Otis Fashion Show in Bel Air

A private showing of selected looks

I was truly honored to be a part of this exclusive fashion show in a Bel Air mansion as a fundraiser for Otis College of Art and Design.

The two selected looks were from my mentorships with Costume Designer, Trish Summerville and Otis ex-Fashion Chair, Rosemary Brantley.

Thank you.

The first look is inspired by the Sylphina Angel, AKA Glasswing Butterfly.

This fairly new species of butterfly was discovered in Brazil and is already in danger of extinction due to climate change.

Made from 100% upcycled materials: hemp twine, recycled tire tube, deadstock silk fabric

The bodice cage was woven to emulate the butterfly wings as a network of pathways relaying information to the butterfly from outside stimulus.

The halter top and palazzo pants were hand batiked in a pattern that resembles the butterfly’s color.

The second look has been designed to wear 4-looks-in-1, reducing the need to buy more clothing.

Quality made, these garments are meant to be classic and long-lasting. You can see the entire Lucid Dreaming collection HERE
